About this site

Welcome to the site of the group "Krakowiacy", where you will find a lot of information specific to our group, such as the performances. There is a little bit of our history, and a bit more about the current program and performances planned in the near future.

We hope that those of you who visit our site from Poland will find this form of sharing Polish culture here in Colorado interesting. And for those who do not know much about Polish folk we hope to enjoy this little taste of rich and colorful Polish culture and to bring this small piece of Poland closer to you.

This site is meant to be a part of our group, so we will continue to improve it, just like we are working on our steps, dancing routines and Polish songs. Feel free to send the comments or ideas on our enhancements. Also, if you have any comments or questions about our site, please, send us an e-mail.

How did it start

The group "Krakowiacy" was founded in October, 2002 at the Polish Roman-Catholic St. Joseph church in the neighborhood of Globeville, Denver, Colorado, which 100 years ago was the center of Polish pioneer community.

100 year anniversary was the perfect moment to start our group.
